Lesson 22  Don’t be Arrogant     

 

Tim:  I was wondering if you’d like to have dinner after work.

Kathy:  I’m sorry but I’m completely swamped with work.

Tim:  You still have to eat.  I know a fantastic four star Italian restaurant near here.

Kathy:  I don’t really care for Italian. 

Tim:  How about a Jim Carry movie that opened last week?  You could blow off some steam with some humor.

Kathy:  I’m not a fan of Jim Carry.  He gets on my nerves.

Tim:  (disappointed) I guess you’re really not interested in going out on a date with me.

Kathy:  Who said that?  You never really asked. 

Tim:  I don’t get it.  I thought I was being obvious.

Kathy:  Well, sometimes a woman likes to play hard to get.

Tim:  Well, I’m not interested in that kind of woman.  I’ll let you get back to work.

Kathy: 전 Jim Carry의 팬이 아닌데요. 그 사람 제 신경을 거슬리게 해요.

Tim:  (실망하며) 당신은 저와 데이트하는 거 정말 관심이 없군요.

Kathy:  누가 그렇게 말했대요?  당신 저한테 물어 본 적 없잖아요. 

Tim:  이해가 안가요.  난 솔직했다고 생각 했는데.

Kathy: 때때로 여자들은 튕기는 것을 좋아해요.

Tim:  난 그런 여자에게 관심 없어요. 일이나 계속 하도록 해 드리죠.
