Lesson 43 - Getting You a Bite to Eat Woman: Let’s get some lunch. I’m so hungry. I could eat a horse and then some. John: But I have to wrap this up in time for the 2 o’clock meeting. Woman: Can I give you a hand? If we put our heads together, we can finish it in no time. John: Thanks for the offer but it’s something I have to do on my own. Woman: Do you want me to get you a bite to eat then? A sandwich or a salad? John: I don’t have much of an appetite right now. I’ll grab something later. Woman: Come on, John. You can’t give a presentation on an empty stomach. John: I guess you’re right. Then grab me a chicken club sandwich, French fries, a large coke, and a chocolate chip cookie. Woman: Did you say no appetite? Are you sure it’s not a hearty appetite? John: Here’s a twenty. Woman: No worries. It’s my treat.
