수선화들-윌리암 워즈워드

  The Daffodils(원문)    I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at one I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils ; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Contiuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the milky way, They stretched in never-ending line Along the margin of a bay : Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced ; but they Outdid the sparking waves in glee ; A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company ; I gazed ㅡ and gaze ㅡ but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought : For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude ; And then my heart with plaesure fills, And dances with the daffodils. 하늘 높이 골짜기와 산위를 떠도는 구름처럼 외롭게 헤매다 홀연히 나는 보았네 수없이 많은 금빛 수선화가 호수 옆에서 나무 밑에서 미풍에 한들한들 춤추는 것을 은하수에서 빛나며 반짝반짝 거리는 별들처럼 쭈욱 연달아 수선화들은 호반의 가장자리를 따라 한없이 열지어 뻗쳐 있었네 나는 보았네, 무수한 수선화들이 머리를 까딱이며 흥겨이 춤추는 것을 수선화 옆의 호수물도 춤췄으나 수선화는 환희에 있어 반짝이는 물결을 이겼었다. 이렇게 즐거운 동무 속에 시인이 유쾌하지 않을 수 있으랴. 나는 보고ㅡ 또 보았다ㅡ 그러나 이것이 내게 어떤 값진 것을 가져왔는지 미쳐 생각 못했더니. 이따금, 멍하니 혹은 생각에 잠겨 카우치에 누워있을 때면, 수선화들은 반짝반짝한다. 고독의 지복인 심안에; 그러면 내 마음 기쁨에 넘쳐 수선화와 함께 춤을 춘다.  -----------------------------------
