On the Italian Adriatic coast, where romance reigns and beach comers bask in the sun,
the notorious Latin lover looks for his prey
and hunts his conquest with chat-up lines.
The women here are fed up.
We run away from Italian men, Tiziana says,
they’re such a drag.
“They are very difficult.”

And it happens all the time. Girl meets boy and boy annoys girl.
So what’s a solution to this age old problem?
One man says he has the answer.
It’s a simple idea, Fastou says,
we have given the women their own world.
It’s called the Pink Beach where women can enjoy the sun, sea and sand
without the lustful leers of men because men are banned from this beach. It’s a female utopia.

Marianna says she comes here to meet new friends and talk about women stuff.
Pink Beach opened a week ago and it’s complete with exercises classes,
water aerobics, makeup and manicure tips.
For some men, the concept is a little far-fetched.
“The women want to be on their own. They want to concentrate on their tans.”
“It will be good for women, but not for us men.”
This man likes the idea and even says the area should be enlarged.
But remember, this is Italy, where there’s always the wandering eye.
